Instructions for best results

  • Choose peaceful and comfortable surroundings.
  • Sit or lie comfortably.
  • Relax your body and mind.
  • Close your eyes.
  • Let go of all the efforts.
  • Make no effort to control the breath; just breathe naturally.
  • Focus on voice and suggestions. Be aware and utterly attentive to the instructions. Moment by moment give your complete attention. And be present in that moment. Follow the instructions thoroughly.
  • Our audio meditation programs are guided meditation audio tracks where someone walks you through each step of meditation, and they are enormously helpful. They do exactly as they say: guide you through a meditation, so you don’t have to think or worry about what to do. You can just sit back, relax and follow the instructions.
  • Simultaneously focus your attention on the breath and on how the body moves with each inhalation and exhalation. Notice the movement of your body as you breathe. Observe your chest, shoulders, rib cage, and belly. Just focus your attention on your breath without controlling its pace or intensity. If your mind wanders, return your focus back to your breath.
  • There is no right or wrong when you meditate. It’s easy to think that being distracted, fidgeting, or having your mind wander is a negative experience; however it is totally natural, and meditation isn’t about fighting or resisting those natural occurrences. It’s about experiencing them and allowing them.
  • We love to put pressure on ourselves to be perfect all the time, but meditation is definitely not the time and place for that. Allow yourself room to breathe and practice patience along with compassion for yourself.
  • Our goal is simple, to pay attention to the present moment. Our minds often get carried away in thought. And we will practice of returning our account, again and again, to the present moment.
  • Be kind to your wandering mind. Don’t judge yourself for whatever thoughts crop up, just practice recognising when your mind has wandered off, and gently bring it back.
  • That’s the practice. It’s often been said that it’s straightforward, but it’s not necessarily secure. The work is to just keep doing it. Results will accrue.
  • This might be the most essential tip to help you start meditating. Meditation is a respite, a quiet time, a time to be at peace with yourself. Treat yourself with complete compassion and kindness when you meditate.
